Member of both the 104th and the 113th Congresses. Endorsed by the NRA and Gun Owners of America in my past Congressional campaigns. Am lifetime member of the NRA and consistently rated A+ by GOA. In the 104th Congress, I was Vice Chair of the House Second Amendment Caucus, chaired by Rep. Bob Barr, who later served as NRA president in 2024 and 2025. Both times I served in Congress, I authored numerous bills protecting 2nd Amendment rights & won numerous awards for my support. My Prolife Record

When I served in Congress, I sponsored and co-sponsored bills protecting human life. My bills speak for me.

• H.R. 2087 (104th): Sanctity of Life Act of 1995

• H.R. 1849 (104th) Chinese Human Rights Act of 1995 to prohibit Most Favored Nation status to

The People’s Republic of China, due to its forced sterilization and forced abortion practices.

• H.R. 2764 (113th): Sanctity of Life Act of 2013

• H.R. 4149 (104th): Assisted Suicide Funding Restriction Act of 1996​ to prohibit the use of appropriated funds to provide, procure, furnish, fund, or support, or to compel any individual, institution, or government entity to provide, procure, furnish, fund, or support, any item, good, benefit, program, or service, the purpose of which is to cause, or to assist in causing, the suicide, euthanasia, or mercy killing of any individual.

I sponsored the "Right to Life" March at the Capitol in 1995 and 1996. I was a speaker at the annual Right to Life rally both terms I served.

My Profamily Record

I sponsored and co-sponsored bills supporting educational and health care options, protecting

privacy, and reducing taxes impacting families. Below is an abridged list:

• H.R. 4222 (104th): Educational Freedom Act of 1996 - To allow a tax credit for tuition and related expenses for nonpublic elementary and secondary education.

• H.R. 35 (113th): Safe Schools Act of 2013 - To restore safety to America's schools by allowing school staff to defend children & themselves.

• H.R. 2625 (113th): Student Protection Act - To protect children’s free speech by withholding funds from educational institutions that punish children who display pro-American themes (t-shirts, etc.).

• H.R. 4518 (113th): Parental Protection Act - To protect constitutional rights of parents & children relative to funding healthcare institutions, detrimental to children.

• H.R. 5882 (113th): Flat Tax Rate Act - To make an Income Tax that is a flat 15 percent for all American citizens.

• H.R. 5202 (113th): Personal Information Notification Act - To require notification of individuals when their personally identifying information is disclosed by a government agency.

• H.R. 5847 (113th): Fifth Amendment Restoration Act of 2014 - To abolish civil asset forfeiture to The Federal Government, without due process.

• H.R. 4774 (113th): Veterans’ Health Accountability Act - To require accountability in the Veterans Health Administration.

H.R. 33 - Audit the Fed Act of 2013. This bill would require that the Federal Reserve perform a comprehensive audit.

• H.R. 410 - Restore the Constitution Act of 2013. This bill would nullify any executive action and prohibit funding of any action that oversteps the President’s constitutional authority. 

• H.R. 306 - Discharge Petition for H. Res 36 to investigate the Benghazi Attack. This resolution would allow for immediate consideration of the bill to establish a select committee to investigate the attack on the United States consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
